About SH Carpet Industries

Rooted in Kathmandu Focused on the Craft

What began as a small business has grown into a respected name in Nepal's carpet industry, shaped by years of dedication and a willingness to explore new ideas.

At SH Carpet Industries, we believe that a well-made rug begins with an understanding of its design, construction, and intended finish.

Over the years, we have continued to refine our methods, drawing on the knowledge of skilled artisans while adapting to changing styles and techniques.

Our focus is on creating products that reflect the character of each design, with care given to the details that make every piece distinctive.

Our Approach

Built on Trust and Consistency

Our working philosophy is guided by three principles: Quality, Time, and Communication (QTC).

Quality — Maintaining careful standards throughout production, from color matching to the final inspection.

Time — Managing orders with attention to agreed schedules and delivery commitments.

Communication — Keeping clients informed of production progress and responding promptly to questions and requests.

Custom Production

Made to Your Specifications

Every rug we produce is made according to our client's individual requirements. From original designs and color selections to dimensions and construction details, each order is developed around the specifications provided.

Before production begins, details are confirmed through an approved strike-off, which serves as the reference for the finished carpet.

Our custom manufacturing process allows rug companies and showrooms to develop their own collections while maintaining control over the design and final specifications.

The Art of Hand-Knotting

Hand-knotting is at the heart of our manufacturing process. Each carpet takes shape through careful, skilled work, with individual knots gradually forming the design, texture, and character of the finished piece.

At SH Carpet Industries, we continue to work with traditional Tibetan weaving techniques while accommodating a wide range of contemporary designs and specifications.

From the selection of materials to the final finishing stages, attention to detail remains an essential part of our craft.
